Ways to Walk

We have already heard about the importance of being outdoors, and of exercise for physical and mental wellbeing – and I truly believe this having seen (and felt)  the positive impact. The purpose of #selfcareseptember was to offer practical ideas and solutions to busy families who may have lost their way a little in the constant demands of children, housework and endless preparation and clearing up from food!

As we come into the last week of ideas, I was reminded of being asked to do a guest blog on Wellbeing for the lovely Vintage Vik.  I chose to encourage walking as a free and simple way to build up positive physical and mental health; take a read and see what you think.

We aim to go outside everyday, we have a dog to walk to the adults always manage this. We walk to school when the weather allows and have a small park very close by which means we do with without much effort. Now the older kids are into bike riding that is also a great outdoors activity – I may have to dust off my old bike…
