Reuse and Recycle

Just to prove I’m not the only person banging on about reusing mugs, or using recycled products, here is The Guardian showcasing the argument for coffee shops (you know who I mean…) being more green. However, we can all make an individual difference too, but recycling our cups or taking our own – and yes, this is going to be another photo of my own re-using mug as I love it sooooo much.

Work It Out!

I think it’s really easy to spend small amounts of money and forget how much they add up to – it’s certainly one of my biggest areas for improvement…

For example, I worked out it costs about 17p a mile to drive our family van (Frosty). So, if I drive to school 4 miles a day that’s about £3.50 a week. It’s not much, but over the year it comes to £136!

Walking is clearly also much better for our health but also helps unleash a bit of energy before school and gives a calm down time after school. We usually stop at the swings, and can grab any essentials as we pass the shop – brilliant.

 It’s better for the environment and saves wear and tear on Frosty too. So, Operation Walk To School is officially started…
