Day 25 – Phone a Friend

This could of course be a ‘send help’ type phone call if you are really struggling, but my intention was to suggest you make use of any older or teen friends or those who may not have kids but like to ‘borrow’ yours…

We have a few friends don’t want  kids full time, but quite like the odd day out with some – or want to see kids film so need to borrow a child so they don’t look odd at the cinema. These are good people to have on speed dial for a day in the holidays! You may need to go out with them, but another unattached teen or adult is a real blessing. It may mean you can do something or go somewhere you wouldn’t venture to on your own. For example there is a small theme park near to us which we have never been to for a variety of reasons, but with the visit of 3 extra adults next week I have pencilled it in – the benefits of a 1:1 ratio is wonderful, as well as the fact they like going on rides and I don’t. It’s also more hands for pushing buggies, carrying picnics/tired toddlers and doing the toilet run.

Make a list of people who fit this bracket and see if you can text, email or call them for a meet up x
