This is a painting hanging in our family room, created by my grandfather-in-law a very talented artist who is sadly no longer with us. I had wanted this painting since the first time I saw it, and am so honoured that it hangs in our home. Mother Teresa is one of my women icons, and I hope she will inspire my three girls as well. When I’m yelling about putting on shoes, or not hitting each other, I love that I can see her from most of the downstairs and feel her forceful love and compassion and calm myself down… she is working wonders for my parenting skills!
I’m hoping throughout March to share some other inspiring women, as it’s the month of Mothers Day in the UK, and the celebration of 100 years since women had the vote it feels a good month for this theme x
